Choose your crate

From our extensive range, choose the crate to suit the person and the occasion. It could be empty for the recipient to plant up or accessorise or you could include a planting kit which could be herb seeds or spring bulbs.

Pick a colour

There are 8 colours to choose from in our current range. Pick a colour to suit the recipient and the possible location of the crate. Make it a special gift for that special person. There is a colour guide on each of the products and we've labelled a few with captions on the images to help you decide.

Personalise your crate

This is the really special stage in creating your unique and special gift. Your own and very personal opportunity, to really express your emotions and sentiments. It could be an anniversary, a wedding date, a birthday, a special occasion, a retirement, a coded message, a favourite saying. Or simply ‘I love you,’ ‘I miss you,’ ‘Thanks.’Our web site has been designed to lead you through the process of ordering your crate. There are a number of stages which you need to follow:

Personalisation

Your personalised message will appear on one side of your carefully selected Plantabox. It can be put on the reverse for a small additional cost, see our accessories page. The standard fonts we use are the traditional stencil typefaces and as such only appear in CAPITAL LETTERS. We have a maximum number of letters for each crate, this will depend on the width of each character so some phrases may allow more letters than others:

Large Plantabox Crate - number of characters per line (incl spaces) is up to 24

Square Plantabox Crate - number of characters per line (incl. spaces) is up to 18

Small Plantabox Crate - number of characters per line (incl. spaces) is up to 18

Medium Plantabox Crate - number of characters per line (incl. spaces) is up to 20

Windowsill Plantabox Crate - number of characters (incl. spaces) is up to 24

Half Crate Plantabox - number of characters (incl. spaces) is up to 20

Mini Crate Plantabox - number of characters (incl. spaces) is up to 16

IMPORTANT: Please carefully check your spelling, punctuation, grammar and any dates used, because we'll put the message on the crate exactly as instructed. If we are in any doubt we will try to contact you to avoid errors.

We have different fonts on some products but on our core products we use a stencil style lettering. We have recently added a lot more symbols to the font set as well as our special symbols which include a heart, champagne glasses, a paw print, holly, recycling logo and a butterfly.

Choose your accessories

Add extra value and make it extra special by adding a liner for planting, wheels, adding your personalisation on both sides, adding a hessian lining, or adding a house number.

Free Gift Message

A final touch for this personalised gift is of course, your own personal message. We supply a bespoke A6 sized card gift card, attached to the crate. Write your message and we'll print this on to the card free of charge.

Payment & Confirmation of Order

All website payments are handled by SagePay, which accept all major credit / debit cards. As a payment service provider (PSP), thousands of businesses outsource their transaction security to them and they are industry leaders. It's their top priority to ensure that customers' transaction data is kept secure at all times, which is why they comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Specific Delivery Dates

We will always try to accommodate special requests. However, it can take 3-5 working days to manufacture and personalise your crate. Ordering for a delivery ahead of time i.e in two/ three weeks is absolutely fine. If in doubt, email or phone and we'll be able to help you, call us on 01392 829977.

Important Delivery Instructions

If you’re ordering a Plantabox for someone else and having it delivered directly to them or to your own address, we would like instructions as to where to leave the box if someone is not at home. If the box cannot be delivered, it will be returned to the local depot and an additional charge may be levied for trying to redeliver on another day.

Delivery costs

We have a number of different delivery options provided by couriers and delivery companies who specialise in getting your product to you in perfect condition. All planted Plantaboxes are handled by a specialist secure courier. The main options are as follows:

Free Delivery – Courier service is next day from dispatch date and is tracked, this is only applicable to orders to the UK mainland with a value of over £50

Standard Courier Delivery – This is for mainland UK only, it is next day from dispatch date and is tracked - £4.95

Fastrack – Provided we receive your order before 2.00pm on any business day we'll complete your order and dispatch it the same day for Next Working Day Courier Delivery which is tracked, this is also for mainland UK only - £9.95 (dependent on weight)

Royal Mail - some of our smaller products can be sent via the Royal Mail which is cheaper but is not tracked and can take several days - £3.95

Delivery Areas Covered

Unfortunately due to the weight of our products the cost of delivering to areas outside of mainland UK are quite high. Our shopping basket will calculate delivery based on the weight of the products ordered and your location. We regret that deliveries to areas such as the Isle of Wight, Isle of Mann, Scottish Highlands and Islands, North/Southern Ireland attract a particularly high excess charge from our courier companies.
